The race

The Budapest Half Marathon is a very prestigious event that takes place in autumn. Participants from more than 80 different countries run through the streets of this beautiful city in a cosy atmosphere. Especially the parts along the Danube and the various sights of the city are unforgettable. For the runners who prefer a shorter distance, the 10 km are an excellent alternative.

On this day, you can continue with the sightseeing of this special city. In the evening, you have to pick up your bib nummber. Attention, tomorrow is the big day so make sure you are well prepared and rested at the start.

The Medosz Hotel has a wonderful location in the Hungarian metropolis of Budapest. Located on Andrássy Street, some of the city's most characteristic sights are just 5 minutes away from the hotel. For example, the National Opera House is within a few metres of the hotel. The important Danube River, which divides the city into two parts, is also a few minutes from Medosz. For those travellers who like to go a little further into the city, public transport can be used. The metro station Oktogon is just down the street and makes the whole city very accessible.
In the hotel itself you can relax very comfortably after a day in Budapest or now the race. The start and finish locations of the marathon, half marathon and 30km can be reached easily by public transport. You will reach this location within approximately 25 minutes. The rooms of this 3-star hotel have their own private bathroom with bath or shower and flat-screen TV. Many rooms at the hotel also offer air conditioning and views over Budapest from the balcony. All in all, a wonderful choice for a stay in the heart of the dynamic city of Budapest!
