The race

One of the biggest half marathons in Germany is the one in Cologne. It is a real folk festival with a course that runs mostly through the city centre and along the banks of the Rhine. The Cologne Half Marathon has a flat course, which gives you as a runner an excellent chance to run a personal record here. For marathon runners, the Cologne Marathon is an ideal alternative.

The Expo will be organised in the Messe building. It is open on Friday from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm and on Saturday from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The weather in Cologne is mild in October and around 13-14 degrees. Ideal conditions for a pleasant walk.

Course

Through the urban and flat course of Cologne. The route lends itself perfectly to fast times. There is only a difference in altitude of 15 metres.

Willkommen in Cologne. The start of your running trip! Today you will go on your own to Cologne. Upon arrival you can check in at Hotel Engelbertz. The location is ideal, close to the start and finish of the marathon and Cologne Central Station. You also need to pick up your bib number at the marathon expo today. Afterwards you will have all the time you need to visit the city of Cologne.

Last day of your running trip! Today, after checking out, you can choose to visit the city of Cologne before returning home. A short walk along the Rhine or a last visit to the Cologne Cathedral are some of the options. We hope that you will return home with a nice medal and an experience richer.
