This year Global Running invites you to the half marathon by the turquoise blue waters of the Wörthersee!
An ideal mix of sporting experience and nature holiday! Whoever takes part in the Kärnten Läuft-run is automatically a winner. As in previous years, there will be numerous benefits for every runner at our event.
Besides the medal, all participants will receive a well-filled starter bag with goodies, as well as a comprehensive voucher booklet, which can be used on site.

See all of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in one half marathon? You can! On this well-signposted and traffic-free half marathon route, you will run along all the beauty of Lake Wörthersee and experience all its facets up close.
In Klagenfurt, running the 21.097 kilometres almost comes naturally. Walking along the banks of the Sattnitz, Glan and Lend canals and the shore of Lake Wörthersee, through landscaped parks and nature reserves, you will hardly break a sweat in the shade of the trees.
Well, a little sweating is allowed of course, but there are about nine drinking fountains along the route to replenish moisture loss.

Today, you will be expected at the hotel. You can pick up your start number right away while visiting the Klagenfurt Running City expo in the registration tent. As there is plenty of time left on the day, it will be fun to explore the beautiful surroundings. Klagenfurt is the capital of Carinthia and the largest city on Lake Wörthersee. In the historic centre, you will find beautiful Renaissance-era architecture and two ornate squares, Alter Platz and Neuer Platz. The centre is about 4 kilometres from the eastern end of the lake. If you want to walk from the city centre to the lake or vice versa, follow the beautiful Lend Canal.

The hotel offers a delicious buffet every morning. With a half marathon ahead, it is important to eat well. Besides collecting your start number, you will have this whole day to enjoy everything the Wörthersee has to offer. Lake Wörthersee is 16.5 kilometres long and 1.5 kilometres wide, and the water is a deep, blue-green colour. From July to September, the water temperature is often around 25 degrees, making the lake ideal for swimming!

De grote dag, vandaag staat in het teken van de halve marathon! Om 09.00 uur is de start in Velden voor het prachtige Schlosshotel. Terwijl u langs de oevers van de Sattnitz, de Glan, het Lend-kanaal en de oever van de Wörthersee loopt, door aangelegde parken en natuurgebied is het puur genieten!

On the last day, everyone is expected to check out of the hotel in the morning. From then on, the whole adventure is over. With a medal and great impressions, you will return home.
