The race

In spring the Krakow Marathon (also known as Krakow Maraton) takes place. Under the slogan "through history" this marathon has one of the most beautiful routes in Europe. The route takes you past many historical monuments in Krakow, which is known as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The course is mostly flat and offers the runners the opportunity to have a great personal time. A fantastic marathon challenge in Poland!

The Expo is at the Reyman Municpal Stadium (Wisla Kraków). It is open on Friday from 15:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00.

Once you arrive in Krakow, you will make your own way to the Classic Hotel. Krakow is known as a real city of culture. In addition, the Rynek Glówny is the largest square in Europe. Here you will also find the Sukkiennice, the famous cloth hall. The square, as well as the rest of the old centre, belong to UNESCO World Heritage. There is also plenty to do in the evening in this lively city!

Good morning Krakow! It is the day before the marathon. After you have enjoyed breakfast, you have to pick up your bib number on your own today. The rest of the day you are free to discover the city further. For example, visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, the Lost Souls Alley museum or one of the many historical monuments. One day before the marathon there will be a pasta party during the expo. A great opportunity to meet other runners!

Today is the day of the marathon! At 09.00 the starting shot will sound. You have 6 hours to cross the finish line, but because this course is relatively flat, it is an excellent opportunity to improve your personal time! Afterwards you will receive a medal as a souvenir of this special marathon!

Monday, 26 April 2021

The day after the marathon and, unfortunately, the end of the running trip. Today you can do as you wish. Have a rest or visit for example the Ghetto Heroes Square, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul or the Bosak building. You will have to fly back home on your own.
