Today you fly to Amman on your own. Please note that a visa is required for all visitors to Jordan. The tour offers a selection of three different hotel levels: Standard, Comfort and Deluxe. The program is identical for all three options except for day one as follows: STANDARD PACKAGE: Upon arrival, our airport representative will meet you in the arrivals hall, after you have passed through immigration and customs, and escort you to the taxi stand. Transfer to the hotel in Amman is at your own expense, but the rates are fixed (expect JOD 25, approx. 32 euros, for a one-way trip from the airport to Amman city). After check-in, you have the rest of the day/evening free to relax in your room or explore Amman on your own. COMFORT and DELUXE PACKAGE: our airport representative will meet you in the arrivals hall, after you have passed through immigration and customs, and escort you to the driver who will take you to your hotel at the Dead Sea. The transfer to the Dead Sea is included in the price of the package. However, please note that other Petra Desert Marathon participants may arrive at the same time as you, in which case you will share the bus with them. After check-in you have the rest of the day/evening free to enjoy the pool and the beach. Today there are no meals included.

Waking up at the Dead Sea - the lowest point on earth - the day can start with a breakfast at the hotel, a swim in the Dead Sea and relaxing by the pool. In the early afternoon we check out and drive by bus to Wadi Musa (Petra). On the way we will stop for lunch and on arrival in Wadi Musa we will check in at our hotel not far from the entrance of Petra. STANDARD PACKAGE: After breakfast in our hotel in Amman we check out and drive by bus to Wadi Musa (Petra). When we arrive we go straight for lunch in a local restaurant while we wait for our rooms to be ready for check-in, approx 3pm. As the sun sets, all the runners gather at the finish line where the race officials and medical team give a briefing about tomorrow's run. In the evening, we can take in carbohydrates with the pasta dinner in our hotel restaurants. Breakfast, lunch and pasta dinner included today.

The day we have all been waiting for! After an early start and breakfast, all runners meet outside the Petra Visitor Centre. At 05:15 all participants will walk through the Siq to the starting line at Gevelsstraat. Since Petra is not open to the public at that time of day, the runners get the unique experience of seeing Petra without the crowds. The race for both full and half marathon runners starts at 6:30. Although it is considered an official race according to the rules of international competition, including timekeeping, it is important to remember that it is first and foremost an Adventure Marathon, where the experience, scenery and satisfaction at completion is more important than winning or setting a personal record. Runners will receive their medals and refreshments at the finish. In the evening we offer two optional local experiences - Petra by Night and Petra Kitchen - which can be booked in addition to the tour package. A light continental breakfast and packed lunch at the finish are included today.

Today is the day to explore Petra in all its glory. After breakfast we will walk to Petra Visitors Centre from where we will begin our guided tour on foot and learn more about the impressive history of yesterday's starting point. The main entrance to the historic and archaeological city of Petra is the Siq. With walls up to 200 meters high, this narrow gorge, split apart by tectonic forces, winds its way 1.2 km through the mountains and ends at Petra's most elaborate temple, the Treasury. We will continue past the magnificent tombs and caves carved out of the red sandstone cliff while our guide tells us about the ancient Nabataeans who created the city. After some time to explore the area and have lunch on our own, we return to our hotel. Depending on how much time you want to spend in Petra, you can also relax and recover from yesterday's exertions in one of the Turkish baths and spas or just pamper yourself in a local restaurant serving the incredibly tasty Jordanian cuisine. In the evening, all participants leave the hotel for the desert where we celebrate the completion of the Petra Desert Marathon with a festive dinner. Dinner, drinks and dancing under the stars. Breakfast and festive dinner included today.

Hotel checkout must be completed by 12:00 (noon). Today we return to Amman, where the last day will be spent. The Jordanian capital is a true Arab metropolis and has much to offer in terms of history and culture. Participants who book one of the extensions will start their adventures today after breakfast. Breakfast is included today.

Today, our adventure in Jordan comes to an end. After checking out at the hotel, you still have plenty of time to see the city of Amman. Breakfast is included. You will travel to the airport in Amman on your own (by taxi). Due to the busy traffic in Amman, we advise you to go to the airport plenty of time in advance.
