The race

The Valencia Marathon has become increasingly popular in recent years and is therefore often sold out early. And this is logical; the overall good weather conditions, the flat course and of course the beautiful start and finish location in the City of Arts and Sciences! The track runs through the historic centre of Valencia. The runners will pass some of the highlights of the city, such as the Plaza Anyuntamiento, the Plaza de Toros and the Turia Park. As the marathon takes place at the end of the calendar year, the temperature during this period is between 12 and 17 degrees. In combination with the flat course, this is an ideal opportunity to set a personal record!

Running loose, pasta party and discovering Valencia! Today we have a running session planned. Furthermore, on this day you will have to collect your starting card. In the evening, a presentation is planned with a pasta party to finish it off. During the day, there is enough free time to explore the city. Some of the sights in Valencia that are definitely worth visiting are: Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (also the start of the marathon), Mercado central (a market hall), Plaza de la Virgen, Jardines de Turia, Plaza Ayuntamiento or Plaza de Toros. For football fans, there is also the chance to visit Valencia's two stadiums (Valencia and Levante). Valencia is a bicycle-friendly city and therefore easy to explore by bike. There are plenty of possibilities to rent a bike.

The big day! Today is finally the day. The marathon is on the program. The start of the marathon is at 08.30 at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. The finish is also at the place where the start of the marathon took place. The hotel is within walking distance of the finish. At the end of the afternoon we will share our stories during the after-marathon drink.
