Lanzarote is the northernmost island of the Canary Islands, the island group in the Atlantic Ocean. It was created by volcanism and is still clearly visible on the island today. The rugged landscape of Lanzarote still shows the contours and traces of its formation, while several volcanoes can still be visited on the island. Today, people also travel to Lanzarote because of the beaches and the cosy bathing resorts. The villages in the interior are very authentic. The diversity of this inviting island makes Lanzarote a fantastic destination.
