The start of the running journey! You will arrange your own flight to Reykjavik. Once you arrive in Iceland, you will make your own way to Fosshotel Lind, where the first night of the running trip will take place. You will have the rest of the day to get to know this interesting city a little better. With almost 24 hours of daylight in summer, Reykjavik is often described as a city that doesn't sleep in summer! In the evening, enjoy the culinary side of the Icelandic capital. Meals are not included today.

Arrival in Mývatn. After an early breakfast at the hotel, the coach departs along Iceland's stunning west coast. During the ride, a guide will tell you about Iceland and its impressive nature. In the afternoon we arrive in Akureyri, better known as the 'capital of the north'. This city is only 100km from the Arctic Circle! A race briefing will take place here, where you will also be provided with a race packet and a meal. After the briefing, the bus continues to Myvatn, where hotel SEL is located. Breakfast, lunch box and snack during race briefing are included today.

Optional excursion and free time. Today you have the full day to acclimatise to the Icelandic climate in preparation for tomorrow's big day. In addition, consider taking part in one of the optional excursions. An exploration of the Mývatn area or a whale safari near Húsavík are options on request! You can also choose to spend the day as you please. A hike or bike ride through the beautiful region are examples to fill your free time pleasantly. In the evening, a pasta dinner will be served at the hotel. Rest well tonight, because tomorrow the challenging Iceland Volcano Marathon and Half Marathon is on the programme!

The big day! The premiere of the Iceland Volcano (Half) Marathon! You will be taken by bus to the start of the marathon and half marathon. On the unpaved paths and roads around the majestic Hverfjall crater, runners will be on their way during this challenging and unique marathon. The dramatic backdrop, the active volcanic region of northern Iceland, in which all this takes place is absolutely mesmerising! After the finish, full and half marathon runners will be served a well-deserved BBQ lunch. You will be taken back to your hotel by shuttle. There you can relax after today's achievements! Breakfast and BBQ lunch are included today.

Rest and celebration dinner. Today you will again have the option to take an excursion or just fill the day as you wish. In the afternoon we leave for the small village of Laugar to celebrate yesterday's achievements with a celebration dinner. Breakfast and celebration dinner are included. Return to Reykjavik. After an early breakfast, buses depart for Keflavik International Airport in Reykjavik. Arrival here is expected at 14:30. Today you will stay in Iceland one last time, at the Konvin Keflavik Airport Hotel to recover from the long transfer. The evening is yours to fill in as you please. There are several eateries near the hotel where you can end your running trip with a delicious meal! On request, you can also extend the trip with a stay in Reykjavik. Breakfast and lunch box are included today.

The end of your running trip! You will make your own way to the airport for your return flight. We wish you a good journey home and hope you have gained an unforgettable experience.
We do not offer transport for this arrangement by default. However, we do offer the option to book flights with us. Prices will vary if you choose to make use of our service.
