You will fly to Lisbon today and make your own way to your hotel. It is useful to buy a Lisbon pass, which gives you free access to public transport and various museums. Moreover, the pass allows you to get discounts at a number of shops and attractions. Some sights in Lisbon that are definitely worth visiting are: Torre Belém, Ponte 25 de Abril and Castelo São Jorge. Also highly recommended is touring Lisbon on the old tram 2. Through narrow streets and curves, this tram leads you through Lisbon's different neighbourhoods. You have a good chance of hearing Fado music in the background. This music genre originated in Lisbon and is often played live at terraces, bars and restaurants.

The day before the half marathon, can largely be filled in as you wish. Namely, you do need to make time for collecting the bib number. This is the only obligation today, after which you are as free as a bird and can explore Lisbon in your own way. Visit, for instance, the lively Bairro Alto district. Here you can enjoy the many restaurants, architecture and atmosphere. Enjoy the day and get a good rest, because Sunday is the day of all days!
