Fast and flat. The Edinburgh Marathon has been called the fastest marathon in the British Isles and it comes to no surprise that many international runners try to break their personal record here every year. This race has been sold out early every year since 2008. The course runs from the heart of the city along the coast of the Firth of Forth, combining both urban and scenic parts during the course of the marathon.
