The race

The 10km from Madrid is part of the marathon weekend in Madrid and the famous Rock 'n' Roll series. Participants in this 10km are the very first to start, and follow the same route as the marathon and half marathon for the first 2km, before turning off on the last 8km of the half marathon route. Despite the shorter distance, there are plenty of sights to see in Madrid, such as the Mueso del Prado and Estacion de Atocha. A flat route, which can sometimes set a personal record, is waiting for you in Madrid!

The Claridge hotel is centrally located next to Conde de Casal Metro Station and Plaza del Conde Casal, a 10-minute walk from Retiro Park. The hotel's central location allows guests to explore the city from here, while Retiro Park is a great location to warm up for Sunday's race. Its location near the metro also makes it easy to get to the start of the marathon, half marathon or 10km. Also the finish line is easy to reach. Both are only half an hour away from the hotel.
The rooms at the Hotel Claridge are well equipped and offer runners not only an excellent location, but also the comfort needed to be optimally prepared for the Sunday run. The rooms at the hotel have good beds, a bathroom with shower and a television. In addition, you can use the giant gym in the hotel free of charge. With an area of 1500 m2 and more than 200 sports possibilities! In the vicinity of the hotel there are several restaurants, and of course you can make use of the extensive breakfast buffet in the morning.
About Madrid

The Spanish capital Madrid is a mixture of a businesslike and frivolous atmosphere. Business centres are mixed with cosy squares and streets where you can enjoy food and drink. In and around the intimate city centre there are many places of interest that can be reached surprisingly easily both by foot and public transport. The central square Puerta del Sol, the Palacio Real or the Prado Museum are some of them. The symbol of the city is the bear on the Madroño tree, whose statue is a meeting point for many people. Outside the centre you will find trendy neighbourhoods like Chueca and the artistic Malasaña. In general Madrid is a versatile and above all atmospheric city!
