Airport staff at both Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) will be available throughout the day and evening to assist with finding a taxi or providing directions to the shuttle bus. Look for the sign “The Great Wall Marathon” and our representatives in the arrivals hall will assist you if necessary. Please read the arrival and departure information under Important for more details. After checking in at your hotel, please check the hotel notice board to confirm the name and phone number of your guide. Goodie bags will be distributed by the guide. If you have not received your goodie bag today, you will receive it on the inspection day. The rest of the day is free to explore Beijing. Meals: not included

Today is inspection day! This is your time to inspect the route, including a leisurely walk along the Great Wall, and to talk to the race organizers about the upcoming event. Our day starts early in the morning as we board our bus and head to the Great Wall for the route inspection. Breakfast will be served in the form of a breakfast box if your hotel is unable to serve a breakfast buffet due to our early departure. Please remember to check out of your hotel before leaving Beijing and take your luggage with you, as you will be taken to your hotel in Jizhou (Eagle Land Hotel) after the route inspection. All runners are expected to run the 3.5 km of the Huangyaguan section of the wall that is part of the marathon, half marathon, and 8.5 km Fun Run course. Non-runners are also welcome, but good physical condition is a requirement. A sandwich lunch will be served. After lunch, we will check in at our hotel in the city of Jizhou. The afternoon is free to explore the area around your hotel. Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Today is a good day to relax before tomorrow's big race day. Enjoy the local atmosphere or go on the optional excursion to the Qing Dynasty tombs (€130 per person). The excursion includes lunch. Load up on carbohydrates during dinner tonight with extra rice and noodle dishes. Meals: Breakfast and dinner included (lunch is provided for those participating in the optional excursion)

Today is the big day! After an early breakfast, we will leave our hotel and head to the race location, located at the Huangyaguan section of the Great Wall. Don't forget to check out of your hotel room, because at the end of the day we will be leaving for Beijing. After an aerobics warm-up and speeches by local officials, the race will start at 7:30 a.m. A sandwich lunch will be provided for everyone. Between 12:00 and 4:30 p.m., buses will be available to take the runners back to Beijing. After the race, a 20-minute massage is included on site. You will stay at the Qianmen Hotel again. Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Sunday, 17 May 2026

Today is a rest day. You can sleep in, relax, do a little shopping, or fill your senses with the sights and sounds of Beijing. Please note that these must be purchased before your arrival in China. Enjoy the classic highlights of Beijing by visiting the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven (€115 per person) or visit the charming hutongs on the back of a rickshaw (€95). In the evening, we will all gather for the grand celebration dinner. All participants will be picked up at their hotel and taken to the party location tonight. Meals: Breakfast and dinner included (lunch is provided for those going on optional excursions)

The last day. After breakfast you will go to the airport for the return flight. Transfer to the airport is included. In case of a possible extension, the transfer is not included. We wish you a pleasant journey home.
