A monstrous and fabulous run. This describes without a doubt the Loch Ness Marathon. The participants of this marathon run from Fort Augustus towards the finish line in Inverness. For the first 10 kilometres of the course the participants descend no less than 300 metres. After that the run continues along Loch Ness, which is world famous for the rumours of its monstrous existence in this lake. After the participants have covered most of the distance, which is mostly in a nature environment, the runners are warmly welcomed in Inverness. The 10 km run is also an option here apart from the marathon.
