The largest marathon in Europe can be found in Paris. Traditionally run in the spring, the Paris Marathon, where many runners also run their very first marathon, is highly regarded for its beautiful route along the highlights of the French capital. For example, the route runs along the Eiffel Tower, the Palais Garnier and the Bastille. Outside the urban environment, which is largely run along the banks of the Seine, part of the course also goes through the forest of Vincennes and just before the finish through the forest of Boulogne. The start and finish are located near the Arc de Triomphe. All in all, a course where there is a lot to see and do, in a fantastic atmosphere!
From 2025, a medical certificate from a doctor will no longer be necessary. Instead, a form will be introduced in which you must indicate that you are healthy enough to participate in the event. This form can only be completed 3 months before the event.
